Suffering pain? Get the wisdom teeth removal in South Morang
Wisdom teeth eruption can be very painful and can cause many other problems. As a leading dental clinic, we provide wisdom teeth removal and extraction in South Morang, Bundoora, Mill Park, Mernda, Doreen, Lalor and surrounding areas.
Problems occurring with wisdom teeth
- Majority of our patients suffer the pain as wisdom teeth will often try to erupt into a jaw that is already full of teeth.
- As there is less or no space for wisdom teeth to erupt, it might try to come through underneath existing teeth, or will even try to push sideways through your gums.
- It is also very difficult for our patients to keep wisdom teeth clean and they can become infected or decayed.
Process of removing wisdom teeth
With a wide range of experience in wisdom teeth removal and extraction in South Morang, Bundoora, Mill Park, Mernda, Doreen, Lalor, our dentist uses dental x-rays to understand the position of your wisdom teeth and can begin the process of removing along with local anaesthetic. In case of a complex wisdom teeth removal, we usually refer the case to an oral surgeon who has access to general anaesthetic.
Post removal scenario
You will need to rest for a few day. Do not drive if you have had any sedation or general anaesthesia and arrange for some help at home for the next day or so. Painkillers will be recommended for up to a week after surgery. Bleeding after surgery is common, but we will inform you on how to best manage this. Swelling of the jaw is also common and will subside after four to five days (ice can be applied immediately after surgery to manage this). We will advise of any possible complications, risks or side effects associated with wisdom teeth removal. If you have any concerns about your treatment, please ask our friendly Dental @ Central South Morang staff and dentist, we are more than happy to help!
